On April 2th took place the “Primera Jornada de Investigación en Obstetricia y Ginecología” in Viña del Mar, Chile; which was organized by the Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

During this meeting, researchers belong to GRIVAS-Health presented part of the scientific production done by our laboratories. Dr. Enrique Guzman presented his work as electronic poster called: «Low maternal free T4 in the first trimester of pregnancy is gestational diabetes Associated with » (see photo). While Dr. Francisco Valenzuela present his work titled «Expression of the circadian clock PER 1-2 and VEGF genes are detected in cultured human placenta. Preliminary Results «; other works belong to the group were «Potential role of A2B adenosine receptor on proliferation/migration of fetal endothelium derived from pre-eclamptic pregnancies», » Increased placental angiogenesis in early and late onset pre-eclampsia is associated with differential activation of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 «, and, «Differential expression of hCAT-1 and BKCa mRNA in human placenta from gestational diabetes » by the groups led by Drs Carlos Escudero and Marcelo Gonzalez.

 El miércoles 2 de abril pasado se desarrolló en la ciudad de Viña del Mar la primera Jornada de Investigación en Obstetricia y Ginecología, organizado por la División de Obstetricia y Ginecología, Facultad de Medicina de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

En esta oportunidad investigadores de GRIVAS-Health presentaron diversos trabajos realizados por nuestros laboratorios. El Dr. Enrique Guzmán, presentó como poster electrónico su trabajo denominado: “Low maternal free T4 in the first trimester of pregnancy is associated with gestational diabetes” (ver fotografía). Mientras que el Dr. Francisco Valenzuela presento su trabajo “Expresion circadiana de los genes reloj PER 1-2 y del VEGF son detectadas en cultivo de placenta humana.
